The German offensive player Mario Götze, returns to his former club, Dortmund, after three years at rivals Bayern Munich.
In 2013 chose Mario Götze to switch from Dortmund to their great rivals Bayern Munich.
The German offensive player never got her big break in Bavaria, and therefore he has now claimed back to the roots.
Dortmund could Thursday to announce that they have secured Götze. He has signed a four-year contract.
“I am very happy that Mario returns home to Borussia Dortmund. I’ve since his resignation in 2013 hoped that one day he would return,” says director Hans-Joachim Watzke to the club’s website and sporting director Michael Zorc offers in:
“Mario is Dortmund man, and he is one of the most creative midfielders in Europe, and he is just 24 years old.”
Götze has so far played 83 Bundesliga matches with 22 goals to follow for Borussia Dortmund. In his three years at Bayern he managed to score 22 goals in 73 Bundesliga matches.
“When I changed from BVB to Bavaria in 2013, it was thoroughly considered decision, which I will not hide behind today. But three years later, at the age of 24 years, I see with other eyes on the resolution” says Götze to the club website, adding:
“I can certainly understand that many fans did not understand my decision. When I return home, I will try to convince everyone, especially those who do not accept me with open arms, through my performances. My goal is to play up to my best.”
Bayern paid about 280 million kroner for Götze in his time. Dortmund this time has paid about 194 million kroner for offensive player.
